Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how VidSnaply ("we," "us," or "our"), accessible at vidsnaply.com, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and services. By using VidSnaply, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information You Provide
VidSnaply does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use our core downloading tools. However, if you contact us through our Contact page, you voluntarily provide your name, email address, and message content. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
2. URLs You Submit
When you paste a URL into VidSnaply, the URL is sent to our server for processing. Our server uses this URL to extract publicly available media metadata and direct stream links. We do not maintain a permanent database or log of submitted URLs. However, URLs may temporarily appear in server request logs as part of normal web server operation, and these logs may be retained for a limited period for debugging and security purposes.
3. Server Logs
Like most web services, our servers may automatically collect certain technical information in access logs, including:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referring URL
- Pages visited and timestamps
- HTTP request method and status codes
This information is used for server maintenance, security monitoring, and troubleshooting. Server logs are not used for behavioral profiling or sold to third parties.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
VidSnaply uses browser localStorage to store your preferences (such as theme selection and language preference) and recent search history locally on your device. This data never leaves your browser and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings or the "Clear History" button within the app.
We may also use cookies for essential website functionality. If third-party analytics or advertising services are enabled (see below), those services may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies.
5. Analytics
We may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our website. When enabled, GA4 collects anonymized usage data such as page views, session duration, and general geographic region. We configure GA4 with IP anonymization enabled. We do not send submitted URLs, downloaded media URLs, email addresses, names, or any personally identifiable information to Google Analytics.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Advertising
We may display advertisements through Google AdSense or similar advertising networks in the future. If enabled, these services may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your browsing activity. You can manage your ad preferences through Google Ads Settings or opt out of personalized advertising through aboutads.info.
7. Third-Party Services
VidSnaply interacts with third-party social media platforms to extract publicly available media metadata when you submit a URL. We do not control the privacy practices of these platforms. When our server contacts a third-party platform on your behalf, it does so to retrieve the information you requested. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any platform whose content you access.
8. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry. Server logs are retained for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) for security and debugging purposes, after which they are deleted. We do not maintain a permanent archive of user activity, submitted URLs, or downloaded content.
9. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle, including HTTPS encryption for all connections. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
VidSnaply is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
11. Your Choices & Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your information. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at VidSnaply.com@gmail.com.
You can clear your locally stored data (search history, preferences) at any time through your browser settings.
12. International Visitors
VidSnaply is operated from an online infrastructure and may be accessed globally. By using the service, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your own. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or another region with specific data protection regulations, we encourage you to review this policy carefully and contact us with any questions.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
